Summary:
In Mr. Wuffles' house, there are a selection of toys on the floor. Specifically, there is a whole spaceship full of little green aliens that speak in a language of symbols. Mr. Wuffles decides to play with the toy spaceship because he is bored and doesn't find his owner or his other toys any fun to play with. The aliens don't know what to do, everything starts getting destroyed inside by the cat playing with it outside, and they begin to create an escape plan. These aliens go to their hiding spot and work with the ants, lady bugs, and other insects on the big project. When it comes time to put their plan into place, it successfully works as Mr. Wuffles launches their spaceship back into the sky out of the window. Mr. Wuffles' owner came back with another toy spaceship, but he wasn't interested in it like always and went about his day wondering where they went.
Evaluation & Comments: I've seen this book when I was a kid, but I don't know why I had never read it. I would use this book for creative writing. The book doesn't have any words and is just illustrations. I feel like this gives full control to the students with the creativity, even though they have the restrictions of what the characters are doing. I think this is great because it allows the students to use their imagination and the teacher can see what the students are thinking, maybe even get to know their students more.
